Dr. Özçayır is an associate professor of law. She is an experienced lawyer, trainer and lecturer. She is the author of Liability for Oil Pollution and Collisions and Port State Control (now in 2nd edition), both published by LLP Professional Publishing.
She is a member of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) Experts, a member of the Editorial Board of Maritime Risk International and the editor of the IMO section of the Journal of International Maritime Law.
She is also a member of Izmir Law Bar in Turkey.
